Spine related leg pain: current conundrums and future directions

A keynote lecture exploring the current challenges and common frustrations in managing spine related leg pain, practical ways clinicians can improve practice now, and where the evidence and the profession are heading in the future.

This keynote will provide an overview of the current challenges in the assessment and management of spine related leg pain, including diagnosis, prognosis and prognostic factors, treatment planning, and treatment effectiveness. It will explore what we already know, where the current evidence and expert consensus support changes to practice now, and where important uncertainties remain. Finally, it will consider the key research priorities and emerging developments that are likely to shape the future of spine related leg pain care.

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:

* Recognise the current challenges and common frustrations in the assessment and management of spine related leg pain.

* Identify practical changes that can be implemented immediately to improve clinical practice.
