Panel discussion: AI in MSK care and education: friend, foe or we just don't know yet?

26 Nov 2026
Business and Practice Leadership Theatre
Artificial intelligence is already beginning to influence the way musculoskeletal care is delivered, from triage and documentation to education, clinical decision support and patient self-management. But where does it genuinely add value, and where should we be more cautious? This panel will explore the opportunities, challenges and unanswered questions surrounding AI in MSK practice and education. We'll discuss how AI might improve access, efficiency and learning, while considering its limitations, ethical implications and the continued importance of clinical reasoning, professional judgement and the therapeutic relationship. Expect an honest conversation about what AI can do today, what it probably shouldn't do, and how MSK clinicians can help shape its future rather than simply react to it.
