This session will focus on understanding the more common causes of low back pain in youth athletes. We will explore the anatomy of the adolescent lumbar vertebra and how this creates a greater incidence of lumbar bone stress injuries during adolescence. We will explore the symptoms and risk factors to enable early recognition and consider the clinical reasoning required to ensure appropriate management and successful outcomes.
