Consultant Physiotherapist and Climbing Return to Sport Researcher, Strength and Conditioning Education for Clinicians
Uzo is a Consultant Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach working across NHS orthopaedics, private practice and elite sport. My role focuses on integrating clinical reasoning systems with performance training, so athletic populations move from pain and limitation to high function and sport specific performance. I also design and deliver clinical strength and conditioning education for healthcare professionals, with a focus on turning MSK principles into practical decision making, exercise selection, and progression. A former Royal Marines Commando, Special Operations Solider and British Army Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Officer. Uzo has a Masters of Science Degree in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Bachelor Degrees in Applied Sports Science and Physiotherapy. He is a full member of the UK Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).Uzo also has a Masters of Science Degree in Strength and Conditioning from St Marys University London and is a Professional Doctorate Candidate in Strength and Conditioning and Rehabilitation. Uzo is also an UKSCA Accredited strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC) Hi is a Associate Clinical Professor at Birmingham University Medical School and Author of two clinical strength and conditioning text books. In my education work, I build courses, workshops, and online learning that help clinicians improve outcomes in complex MSK cases, including high level rehab and return to sport. My aim is to develop trusted systems that support high stakes decisions in elite sport and mission critical occupations, while staying useful for serious recreational athletes.
