Jonathan Boxall is an osteopath, clinic principal and the founder of MSK Software Ltd. A Business Administration graduate of the University of Greenwich, he spent thirteen years designing healthcare and financial data systems before retraining, beginning as a systems developer at Norwich Union (now Aviva) and Sun Life (now AXA), and later working in Houston, Texas on medical insurance systems for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Contract roles followed at the DVLA and Kredietbank, before he became technical manager for content architecture at the Wolters Kluwer Group. In 2003 he founded Medscope Ltd, an online retailer of diagnostic medical equipment, which he continued to run while studying at the European School of Osteopathy, graduating in 2008. He founded Osteo and Physio in 2009 and launched it as a franchise in 2021. The group now runs ten clinics with 54 practitioners, all of them managed on software he designed. MSK Software Ltd extends Cliniko with tools for reporting, compliance and clinic administration. Jonathan is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy's Better Business Group, which works to improve business practice across the profession, and lectures on classical osteopathy and on the practitioner-patient relationship.
