MSK Workstream 2026
Musculoskeletal (MSK) health is not confined to a particular moment in life or to a specific type of person, it is a universal thread running through every human story. From early childhood movement to the resilience of older adults, MSK health and wellbeing influences how we live, work, connect, and participate in our communities. This year’s MSK content stream, built around the theme “Every Age, Every Body,” acknowledges that MSK care is both deeply personal and profoundly communal.
At its core, MSK health affects us all.
Whether it is a young person establishing healthy functional movement, a working adult managing pain or injury, or an older adult striving to maintain mobility and independence, MSK needs evolve across the lifespan. “Every Age, Every Body” recognises that our approaches must be just as adaptive and dynamic. It emphasises prevention alongside intervention and celebrates the role that MSK clinicians play in supporting MSK health and wellbeing at every stage of life.
Clinical Expertise Grounded in Real-World Practice
The MSK stream aims to bring together expert clinicians, educators, researchers, and service leaders to share knowledge that is not only evidence based but shaped by lived experience. The expertise represented here spans disciplines and settings – from primary care to specialist services, from rehabilitation to community programmes. By weaving together these diverse perspectives, we strengthen the collective capability of MSK professionals and promote more equitable and person‑centred care for ‘Every Age, Every Body’.
A Conference for Neighbourhoods and Communities
MSK health shapes how people live, move, and connect, and strong MSK support strengthens whole communities. “Every Age, Every Body” champions the idea that high-quality MSK care belongs everywhere: in clinics, neighbourhoods, and the everyday places people live and grow.
By linking clinical expertise with community resources, like local groups, exercise programmes, peer support, and voluntary services, we create care that is preventative, accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.
This theme is also a commitment to equity: ensuring everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background, can stay active, engaged, and well. The stream brings together clinical insight and community innovation to build MSK solutions that truly meet people where they are.

A Shared Vision Forward
‘Every Age, Every Body’ is more than a theme- it's a commitment.
A commitment to providing clinicians with robust, practical knowledge; to connecting care systems with communities; and to supporting healthier, more resilient lives across all ages.
MSK health is a cornerstone of wellbeing. We recognise that when we strengthen MSK care, we strengthen individuals, and when we strengthen individuals, we strengthen communities.
