The Sports Therapy Organisation (STO) is a professional body dedicated to supporting, representing and developing Sports Therapists throughout every stage of their careers. We promote high standards of education, ethical practice, clinical competence and evidence-informed care across the profession.
Our membership includes students, graduates, practitioners, educators and experienced clinicians working in private practice, professional and grassroots sport, education, rehabilitation and wider healthcare settings. Members benefit from professional recognition, ongoing guidance, networking opportunities, research updates, continuing professional development and access to an active professional community.
The STO also works closely with universities, employers, industry partners and other professional organisations to strengthen Sports Therapy education, improve public understanding of the profession and create new opportunities for practitioners.
Our long-term ambition is to continue raising standards, supporting lifelong learning and advancing the recognition of Sports Therapy as a skilled, credible and essential healthcare profession.
