The Dr Aktive CCT range provides a simple, effective and portable approach to cold compression therapy, combining targeted cooling with adjustable compression and comfortable anatomical support. Designed for use following injury, surgery, exercise or as part of a rehabilitation programme, the CCT range provides a convenient alternative to traditional ice application.
Each CCT support incorporates a removable gel pack, which can be chilled in a refrigerator or freezer before being securely positioned within the support. A simple integrated hand pump then allows air to be introduced into the support, providing adjustable compression around the treatment area. The combination of cooling and compression is designed to help minimise pain and discomfort and reduce swelling.
The supports feature comfortable Velcro fastening, allowing the fit and compression to be adjusted to suit the individual. The lightweight, conforming design makes the CCT range practical for both professional and home use. All supports are designed to be ambidextrous, allowing them to be used on either the left or right side where applicable.
The CCT Range
CCT Knee
Designed to provide cold compression around the knee, the CCT Knee is suitable for rehabilitation and recovery following knee injuries, surgery, sprains and strains, as well as conditions involving swelling, joint discomfort and muscle fatigue. Its universal design fits either knee.
CCT Knee with Hinge
Building on the standard knee support, the hinged version provides additional support and flexibility for users requiring greater stability around the knee during rehabilitation.
CCT Ankle
Designed specifically for the ankle, the CCT Ankle provides targeted cooling and compression for recovery following ankle injuries, sprains and strains. Adjustable fastening helps achieve a secure and comfortable fit.
CCT Shoulder
The CCT Shoulder provides targeted cold compression for the shoulder area and can be used to support recovery following injury, surgery, exercise or rehabilitation.
CCT Hip
Designed to provide cold compression around the hip area, the CCT Hip offers a practical solution for targeted cooling and compression during recovery and rehabilitation.
CCT Wrist
The CCT Wrist is a lightweight and comfortable solution for cold compression around the wrist. It is suitable for recovery from sprains, sports injuries, arthritis, muscle fatigue and other wrist-related discomfort.
Simple, Reusable Therapy
The CCT system is designed for straightforward everyday use. The gel pack can be refrigerated or frozen for approximately two hours before treatment, then reattached to the support. Compression can be applied using the hand pump and adjusted according to comfort. Kinetec recommends alternating compression periods with periods without compression to allow the skin to rest.
The removable gel packs also make the system reusable and practical. Spare gel packs are available for selected supports, allowing one pack to remain chilled while another is in use.
The supports can be particularly useful in clinical, rehabilitation, sporting and home environments, providing a convenient cold compression solution without requiring an electrical cooling unit.
