Foot & Arch launches Clinical Partner Bulletins: what plantar-pressure scanning reveals across 16 patient groups
Foot & Arch, the Birmingham-based provider of foot plantar-pressure scanning and custom insoles, has released its Clinical Partner Bulletins: sixteen short, referenced briefings for the clinicians who see foot-driven problems every day but rarely have objective data on how the foot actually loads.
Each bulletin takes one patient group and sets out the numbers, what a dynamic Foot Pressure Scan reveals, what the published evidence supports, and who is best placed to refer. Topics run from plantar fasciitis, overpronation and flat feet through the diabetic foot, the ageing foot and falls, runners, rheumatoid arthritis, pregnancy and postnatal change, standing workers, children, and the neurological foot after stroke.
The series is deliberately candid about limits. The paediatric issue, for example, stresses that most children's flat feet are a normal developmental stage: the scan's job there is to reassure the majority and identify the symptomatic few, not to put every child in an insole. The neuro-rehabilitation issue positions the scan first as a measurement tool, recording left–right loading as a number rather than an impression.
"Clinicians tell us the same thing in every specialty: they can see something is wrong with how a patient loads, but they can't measure it," said Mehul Amin, Director of Foot & Arch. "The bulletins show, condition by condition, what a pressure scan adds — and where it doesn't. Treatment should follow the evidence, and sometimes that evidence says an insole isn't the answer."

Visitors to stand G68 at the NEC on 25–26 November can step onto the plate, see their own pressure map in real time and pick up the bulletins relevant to their caseload.
