Stress fracture healing for Ironman Triathlon World Champion

“Last November I was diagnosed with a navicular stress fracture in the foot. As a triathlete runner, I’m constantly loading my feet so progressive stress obviously weakened the bone. I wore a boot but a repeat scan in January showed the bone hadn’t healed and by April healing had still made little progress.

“So I researched non-interventionist treatments to start or expedite the healing process. An elite sport physiotherapist friend recommended a Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber (HBOT).

“I discussed options with Matthew Jackson of Origin Oxygen and settled on a treatment combination with the HBOT chamber, laser therapy and the PEMF therapy machine. I hadn’t heard of the treatments but decided to try them.”

After a short time, a scan showed the fracture in Chrissie’s foot was almost imperceptible, with a significant improvement in healing and nearly normal foot function.
