Every Age, Every Body: The MSK Workstream 2026

Musculoskeletal health affects every person, at every age—but the right care does not look the same for everyone. The dedicated MSK Workstream at Therapy Show 2026 will explore how clinicians can deliver more adaptive, inclusive and person-centred support across the lifespan.

From a young person developing healthy movement to an adult managing pain or injury, or an older person working to maintain their mobility and independence, our MSK needs continually evolve. Clinical practice must be ready to evolve with them.

Built around the theme “Every Age. Every Body.”, the MSK Workstream will bring together clinicians, educators, researchers and service leaders to explore what effective MSK care looks like in the real world. Developed by Dr Sharon Chan-Braddock and Dr Amanda Hensman-Crook MBE, it combines evidence-led education with lived experience and perspectives from across disciplines and care settings.

Beyond the treatment room

MSK health shapes far more than physical function. It affects how people work, participate in family life, connect with others and contribute to their communities. Outcomes can also be influenced by where someone lives, the services available to them and whether they can access local exercise programmes, peer support or community resources.

The workstream therefore looks beyond individual conditions to consider the whole person and the environment around them. It will explore how clinical expertise can connect with community-based support to create care that is more preventative, accessible and sustainable.

At its heart is a commitment to equity: ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, ability or background, has the opportunity to stay active, independent and well.

Two days. One essential MSK conversation.

Across six keynotes and five breakout sessions in Theatre B and The Therapy Exchange, delegates will follow the MSK journey across the lifespan. The programme will span paediatric rehabilitation, women’s health, spine-related leg pain, head and neck pain, return to performance, health inequalities and some of the most important ongoing debates within MSK practice.

Whether you work in physiotherapy, sports therapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, rehabilitation, the NHS, private practice, education or research, the workstream offers an opportunity to challenge established thinking and consider how your approach can evolve alongside the people you support.

Therapy Show takes place at the NEC Birmingham on 25–26 November 2026. Attend for one day to earn up to six CPD points or join both days to earn up to 12 CPD points.

Explore the MSK Workstream and join the conversation for every age and every body.
